Annual Fund Information

To track the latest compiled information on your OWU classmates' contributions, go to Class Giving Standings (updated during the first week of every month). To view a list of the donors by class year go to Honor Roll.

To help Ohio Wesleyan attract and assist as many talented students as possible, we are continually striving to increase our pool of new donors to the Annual Fund and seek increases from renewal donors.

Special programs in place for the Ohio Wesleyan University Annual Fund include:

• Annual Fund Class Giving Program » Class Chairs and their committees communicate with other classmates throughout the year to encourage support of the Ohio Wesleyan Annual Fund. Each class focuses on maximizing class participation and total dollars. Decade Chairs from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s oversee the program and assist the Class Chairs in their efforts.
• Annual Fund Scholars Program » Donors of $5,000 or more are matched with a student who receives financial aid, giving their gift a name, a face, and a personal word of thanks.
• Graduates Of the Last Decade (Gold) Leadership Circle » This is a program that recognizes alumni who have graduated within the past 10 years, and who make gifts of $500 or more to the Annual Fund.
• Fraternity Challenge » This program, started in 2001-2002, challenges each fraternity to increase Annual Giving participation though a friendly fraternity-wide competition. The fraternity with the highest donor percentage at the end of the fiscal year is the declared winner.
• Parents Fund » Gifts to the Parents Fund, which is a component of the University's Annual Fund, support essentials such as financial aid, faculty salaries, library acquisitions, laboratory and classroom equipment, guest lecturers, special academic programs and seminars, Career and Health Services, intramural athletic programs, and Student Activities.

The Annual Fund year begins on July 1 and ends the following June 30. Ohio Wesleyan accepts gifts of cash or check, credit card payments, gifts of stock, and matching corporate gifts. (Matching gifts count toward the donor's total gift for that year when determining giving club levels.) Donors can also establish an Annual Fund endowment, ensuring that a gift will be made to the Annual Fund in their name, each year, at a specific giving club level.

The easiest way to make a contribution is through OWU's secure donation Web site using a credit card. Credit card donations can also be made via telephone by calling Ann Ward, Gifts Coordinator, at 740-368-3317.

Personal checks, business checks, money orders, and other "hard currency" donations (except cash) should be made payable to Ohio Wesleyan University, and should be mailed to:
