Toby Boucher ’88 Inducted into the Ohio Lacrosse Hall of Fame


Toby Boucher
An All American at Ohio Wesleyan University, Boucher is a member of the NCAC All Decade team representing the 80's. OWU teams were 58-11 during his playing career that included two NCAA Runner Up finishes. He also a member of the Ohio Wesleyan Hall of Fame. Toby now lives in California, where he coaches youth lacrosse.
Toby Boucher, Class of 1988, was inducted into the Ohio Lacrosse Hall of Fame on the evening of June 8, 2007, in Columbus, Ohio. He was presented for induction by his former high school Coach Rod Eaton, and present to support Toby’s election into the Hall of Fame were his brother Jeb Boucher, and nephew Peter Boucher ’10 who is currently a student-athlete (men’s lacrosse), as well as OWU head coach Sean Ryan.

Toby was a 4-year varsity letter winner at OWU and received the following honors during his playing days as a Battling Bishop:

  • 4th all-time OWU assist leader as a midfielder with 46 assists
  • 3rd all-time OWU points leader as a midfielder with 126 points
  • Honorable Mention All-American, midfielder, 1986
  • 1st Team All-American, midfielder, 1987, 1988
  • NCAA Division III Midfielder of the Year – 1988
  • Annual North-South All-Star Game, midfielder, 1988
  • 1st Team, All-Midwest Lacrosse Association, 1986, 1987, 1988
  • 1st Team, All-NCAC, 1986, 1987, 1988

Congratulations are in order for Toby on his induction into the Ohio Lacrosse Hall of Fame. He joins a growing list of other Bishops recently inducted into the Ohio Lacrosse Hall of Fame: Coach Fred Myers—inducted in 2002, Steve Meinsen ’77 and Bob Sargent ’76—both inducted in 2005, and Richie Seiler ’72—inducted in 2006.
